RNDD Features Yamini Designs Functioning Kitchen Floorplan

What are the 10 must-have’s when designing a dream kitchen? The River North Design District (RNDD) posed that question in their October newsletter, turning to Chicago interior designers for the ultimate kitchen planning list.

Yamini Designs shared a recent kitchen build featuring one of her must-have’s: a floor plan that functions. Her modern kitchen design created an easy flow by making a large island with seating for six the hub of the space. She placed the range within the island facing the family room, to allow the cook to interact with family and guests while preparing meals. On the kitchen periphery, Yamini created separate zones for wine storage, food prep and a coffee bar.

The result was a chic, streamlined and easy-to-maintain cooking, dining and entertaining space.
