Yamini Designs was honored to be invited once again to design a vignette for the 2021 River North Design District (RNDD) Gallery Walk. We contributed to this event in 2019, where our award-winning design welcomed hundreds of design and art enthusiasts. See images here. In early 2021, we were approached once again by RNDD to participate, this time to create a vignette for the VIP Kickoff Event. Partnering with Calia Stone Boutique, artist Linc Thelen, and fellow designer Francesca Anderson, we transformed the Calia Showroom in Chicago’s River North into an opulent “Garden Folly” inspired by the textiles and fashions of design icon Christian Lacroix. We topped off the opening night of this month-long exhibit with bespoke cocktails and a Christian Lacroix streamed fashion show. A portion of the proceeds from this event went to Digs for Dignity.
